About Whittier Alliance Community Solar
Whittier Alliance is a partner of the Alliance for Sustainability. The mission of the Alliance for Sustainability is to bring about personal, organizational and planetary sustainability in ways that are ecologically sound, economically viable, socially just and humane. They bring together citizen, faith, non-profit, government and business leaders to work collaboratively to envision and build sustainable communities. They provide hands-on training and tools for neighborhoods, congregations, schools and businesses to save energy, water and resources while building community, health, wealth and local resilience.

More about this organization
The Whittier Alliance was formed by a small coalition of Whittier residents, businesses, agencies and religious institutions in January 1977. It is a non-profit neighborhood organization serving the residents and businesses of Whittier. One of the Whittier Alliance’s Strategic Plan goals is to become a model of environmental sustainability.
The Whittier Alliance’s Environmental Sustainability Task Force has been working with multiple environmental organizations and Xcel Energy to educate community stakeholders about energy conservation and local generation. The task force is committed to helping the Whittier neighborhood reduce its impact on climate change by offering energy assessments for homeowners, renters, and small businesses interested in community solar gardens. If you are interested in helping the Whittier neighborhood reduce its impact on climate change and become a model of environmental sustainability, you are invited to sign up to be a part of a community solar garden.
