About ECCO Community Solar
East Calhoun Community Organization is a partner of the Alliance for Sustainability. The mission of the Alliance for Sustainability is to bring about personal, organizational and planetary sustainability in ways that are ecologically sound, economically viable, socially just and humane. They bring together citizen, faith, non-profit, government and business leaders to work collaboratively to envision and build sustainable communities. They provide hands-on training and tools for neighborhoods, congregations, schools and businesses to save energy, water and resources while building community, health, wealth and local resilience.
Alliance for Sustainability (AFS) connects communities through learning and action for our shared future. Community solar is a perfect vehicle to foster community engagement on clean energy.

The East Calhoun Community Organization (ECCO) is a neighborhood organization in the East Calhoun area. ECCO’s goal is to enhance and maintain their unique part of South Minneapolis and Uptown. ECCO works to help, advise and assist residents on how to better their community through an array committees and programs.
As part of their effort to improve their community, ECCO created the East Calhoun Green Team. This committee works to reduce neighborhood carbon emissions through projects related to waste reduction, energy conservation, stormwater management, gardens and trees.
